THEME OF THE YEAR (NEW HEIGHTS LEV
26:13) PHIL 3:13-14

THEME OF THE MONTH: ORACLES OF GOD (1 PETER 4:11).
TOPIC: THE BLESSEDNESS OF INFORMED HEART.

God dwells in unapproachable light.
He however loves to manifest Himself to mankind so that we can walk with Him.
It is important that those who will walk with Him humble themselves to learn
says "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will
from Him; so they can be wise in the things of the kingdom. Matthew 11:28-31
give you rest.  11:29 Take my yoke upon
you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest
unto your souls.  11:30 For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light",

When we fail to become learners, we
often end up frustrated in the faith or we go on fumbling along in the journey
as we follow God by the figment of our minds or the cultivation of our culture.

To be oracles of God in word or deed,
we must strive to be transformed by the word of God which separates us from the
way of sinful life and empowers us for success (Psalm 1; Joshua 1:8; ii Peter

Peter 4:11).

Merriam Dictionary defines Oracle as
“a person (such as a priestess) through whom a god was believed to speak, the
place (such as a shrine) where people went to ask questions of an oracle”. An
answer to a request for guidance”. Other usage according to this source
encyclopedia reveals that Oracle is a divine utterance to man, usually in associates the word to “heathen temples”, and in the New Testament English

gifted with supernatural “gift of speech” (1 Peter 4:11).

There is a way that those who
consecrate themselves to the study and practices of the word of God are by that
act made oracles of God by his word and spirit (ii Peter 3:4; 1 Cor 6:17). The
benefit of it  is that they will not lift
their hearts unto vanity when they pray (Psalm 24:4). Their prayers attract
divine revelation (Jer 33:3) and manifest the power of God (John 15:1-7;
14:21-23; Gen 19:29 cf 18:1, 16 -33). In this year of New heights, may we be
empowered with open eyes to see the things that are freely given to us in
Christ as we occupy our new heights in deed in Jesus name.
