Breaking News!!! The Niger Delta Avengers Blows Up NNPC Pipeline in Akwa Ibom

In a tweet posted on Thursday morning, the Niger Delta Avengers (NDA), who is responsible for most attacks on oil installations in the Niger Delta region, has revealed that it has a blown up a pipeline of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Akwa Ibom state. “At 4:00am @NDAvengers blow up NNPC Pipeline in Oruk Anam local government area in Akwa Ibom,” the tweet read. The attack is coming a few days after the group listed conditions for negotiation with the government.
In a statement issued by Muduch Agbinibo, its spokesman, on Monday, the militants said that they desired a 'genuine attitude' from the government before it would commit to any dialogue.

But in a swift reaction, the embattled chairman stated that the committee did not have the power to remove him from office and described the SWC as “fifth columnist.” According to the SWC, Kekemeke was canvassing for votes on behalf of Dr. Segun Abraham, an alleged protégé of Bola Tinubu, ahead of the party’s August 27 primary. Court remands nurse for attacking LAGBUS workers

Home    Latest News      LAGBUS A 48-year-old nurse, Oduwole Taiwo, who allegedly assaulted the workers of a commercial bus owned by the Lagos State Government –LAGBUS –after failing to pay the correct fare, is to remain behind bars, a court has ruled. An Ogudu Magistrates’ Court, which gave the order, said the woman should be remanded in the Kirikiri prisons until her bail conditions were met. The magistrate, Mrs. O. Sule-Amzat, had granted the accused bail in the sum of N20, 000 with one surety in like sum, the  News Agency of Nigeria  reports. Taiwo, who lives on Lucky Fiber Road, Ikorodu, had pleaded not guilty to two counts of disorderly conduct and assault occasioning harm. The prosecutor, Sergeant Ihiehie Lucky, had told the court that the accused committed the offence on July 10, 2016, at Ketu bus stop.
