Man arrested for pouring hot soup on policeman

An officer of the Nigerian police got more than he bargained for after having a confrontation with a dry cleaner

A policeman identified as corporal Kayode Akingbade, got into ‘hot soup’, but not in the way you would imagine.

Corporal Akingbade and some of his colleagues had been on official assignment, carrying out surveillance somewhere in Ekiti state, when he had reason to be involved with a dry cleaner in the area.

Akingbade had asked 33-year-old Imole Emmanuel to leave the area where the police were carrying out their operations, which he did and later came back for some ‘action’.

Emmanuel had gone after Akingbade who had gone to a nearby canteen to eat, and allegedly poured hot soup on the unsuspecting policeman, while also attempting to snatch his service rifle.

Emmanuel was arrested and brought before an Ado Ekiti chief magistrate court on a three-count charge of assault and conducting himself in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace.

He was remanded in prison.

Hmmmm…What do you think
